How to get your files
These documents are stored in Google Docs, so you always have the most up-to-date version. You have two options, depending on how you want to use them.
Option A -- Download to your computer. Open the document, then go to File >> Download and choose your preferred format: Microsoft Word (.docx), PDF, or plain text. The file saves to your downloads folder.
Option B -- Save a copy to your Google Drive. Open the document, then go to File >> Make a copy. This creates your own editable version in your Google Drive. You can rename it and edit it freely -- changes you make will not affect the original.
Tip: If the link takes you straight to a "Make a copy?" prompt, just click the blue button. Your copy will be ready instantly.
If you see a message saying you need permission to edit -- you do not need it. Use Option A or Option B above instead.
What to do first
Open the 90-Day Startup Launch Checklist and work through Phase 1 (Foundation) before anything else. The three most common early-stage mistakes -- moving to product development before validating demand, choosing a legal structure without understanding the funding implications, and underestimating working capital requirements -- all surface in Phase 1. Addressing them now costs almost nothing. Addressing them after six months of trading costs significantly more.
If you are in a regulated sector (childcare, financial services, healthcare, food service), open the Regulated Business Startup Checklist immediately. Regulatory compliance is the one area where the cost of getting it wrong is potentially business-ending, and the checklist is designed specifically for UK sector requirements that most generic startup guides do not cover.

What the system is and is not
The Startup Launch System gives you the right sequence, checklists, and frameworks. It is built from real experience helping over 2,000 UK founders navigate the early stages of business development.
What it cannot do is apply judgment to your specific situation -- the market you are entering, the competitive dynamics you face, the funding path that makes most sense for your model, or the specific operational decisions that will have the greatest impact on whether you reach first revenues quickly or burn through your runway before you get there.
Most startup failures are preventable. The pattern we see consistently is not bad ideas -- it is good ideas that missed one or two early-stage decisions that could have been avoided with experienced guidance.
